Mexican Palm Leaf Straw Lifeguard Sun Hat
The new large burnt stain palm leaf straw wide-brim lifeguard cowboy hat is made from 100% Mexican palm leaf straw (manufactured in Mexico) and features a black faux leather contrast stitch hatband. This breathable and durable sun protection cap can fit heads up to 23 inches (59 CM) or a US hat size of 7 1/2, and can be made smaller using hat tape. The interior crown is lined with a soft, elastic flex-fit sweatband, making it comfortable to wear for extended periods.
The standard 5-inch pinch-top crown has 3 reinforced grommet holes on each side, allowing heat to escape and keeping your head cooler. The rounded-down, wide 5-inch brim protects your face and neck from harmful sun rays, providing effective UV sun protection. An adjustable 12-inch chin strap keeps the hat securely on your head.
Palm leaf hats are built to last. The palm leaves are harvested from palm trees, then dried and sun-bleached to achieve their natural tan color. Once dried, the leaves are split into narrow strips, braided, and sewn into the shape of the hat. Most hats require 150-200 feet of braided palm. After being sewn to shape, the hats are cold-pressed on wooden molds to create an extremely durable and flexible design.
This lifeguard-style hat features a vented pinch-front crown to keep your head cool and allow airflow to prevent perspiration. It is a one-size-fits-most design, accommodating heads up to 23 inches (59 cm).
The care instructions for this item are hand wash only. The country of origin is either the USA or imported. The closure type is pull-on.
